About the artist

Colour and colour combinations, shape and texture (if right for the pot) are all very important to me.  I like to play with glazes so I try different ways of applying the glazes by dipping, splashing, trailing, sponging and over-lapping. I also like to make different shaped pots - sometimes these new shapes are not successful but I still learn something new from these experiments. As well as making pots I also run classes. Teaching students to try different pottery methods is very interesting and enjoyable too.  Some of my students have been in my classes for over twenty years.
