About the artist

After a 10-year break from painting to have a couple of kids I’m keen to paint again. I’m reaching for bigger canvases, bigger brushes, fatter tubes of paint and creative courage. Indulging my passion for colour, and the freedom to explore mark making, light and form. Committing images onto canvas from my imagination is like trying to fix in words a dream. Drawing from intense experiences of life and death, love and loss I am expressing my love for life, hope and future. I want to create harmonious spaces, light and meditative feasts for the eye. Places to let eyes and minds wander, find peace.

I studied Critical Fine art Practice at Central St Martins in London during the 90s, enjoyed exploring Kant"s ideas of 'the sublime', Klee 'taking a line for a walk' at last giving in to what I have always looked forward to doing.
