About the artist
Bea Das is a contemporary artist, living and working in Sevenoaks. Her work pays homage to her past: born in India, spending her younger years living in Uganda before eventually coming to England. Her culturally rich past is reflected in her choice of colour: pulling them from nature, landscapes and joy of life to incorporate them in her paintings.
Bea spent the last 30 years working as a fashion designer for bridal and evening wear, designing bespoke pieces for clients.
Now she wants to explore her life as a painter. She paints what she sees. Her love of travel inspires her to paint the places she visits and she likes her work to be joyful.
