Kate Tulett

About the artist
Kate Tulett is an experienced art teacher and experimental artist, specialising in acrylics and textiles. Having studied Design & Technology at Leeds Metropolitan University, she has worked as an art teacher at many schools and colleges across the country and is currently head of art at a local school. Kate’s passion is textiles and mixed media, and she loves to encourage students to experiment with all sorts of materials. She uses reclaimed, recycled materials wherever possible and her frames are reused and up-cycled from discarded frames or made from reclaimed wood. Two years ago, in covid, she opened up her own working gallery in the village of Limpsfield, where she displays her own work and runs classes for everyone interested in art no matter age. In the Summer of 2022 she was awarded the muddy stilettos award for the 'Best art space in Surrey'.
