About the Artist

As a visual artist, my work examines and conceptualises socio-political, cultural and environmental issues which I make intuitively using different techniques and materials. Place and identity, fragility of the landscape and human beings within a landscape are issues that resonate with me.

I paint as well as make sculptures using found objects and recycled materials. My large semi-abstract seascapes and landscapes are inspired by local walks and holidays by the sea. Painting for me is like meditating and my way of exploring my thoughts and feelings, telling stories with bold messy shapes, lines, and bright, vivid colours.
