About the artist

Paint • colour • abstract

 

I trained as a print compositor, subsequently forming my own company in design and print production. The sale of my business enabled me to spend more time practising art, colour being a central and consistent interest. My favourite pieces are representational, fragmented work where the aims to create a visual disturbance of the juxtaposition of colour and line. Some of my influences are the architectural work of Maria Josep Jujol, John Piper and the time spent in Africa and Australia. I have been lucky enough for two of my bird paintings to be chosen for the front covers of Index magazine.
