About the artist
Based near Maidstone, Kent, I am an artist, primary school teacher and Mum of two, working with wool, thread and other fibres to create textile 'paintings', using wet and needle felting techniques and free motion machine embroidery.
I am inspired by nature and the outdoors, with my subject matter being mainly landscapes and floral still life. Originally from Yorkshire, I grew up surrounded by sheep, wool and knitting, so it felt like a natural transition when my focus shifted from oil painting to ‘painting’ with wool. I have a love of bright colour and have developed my own unique and vibrant style.
I also run wet felting workshops for adults and children at various locations in Kent. Get in touch to enquire about workshops.
